Police in Pretoria have issued out a stern warning to criminals disguised as members of the police.
This comes after several vehicles were hijacked around Rockville, Mashimong, Tamboville and Temba in Tshwane by these suspects.
The gang allegedly uses vehicles with police blue lights and wear police uniforms with bullet-proof vests and pose as cops, before robbing unsuspecting victims.
They target victims mainly between eight o'clock at night and four in the morning 20:00 pm and 03:30 am.
One of the victims was robbed of his laptop, clothes and an undisclosed amount of cash before being assaulted.
Police are investigating several car hijacking cases by bogus police.
