On Thursday, 9 March 2017, Krugersdorp SAPS members followed leads on the whereabouts of the suspects who were terrorising the community of Makhulugama informal settlement in Krugersdorp West.
Upon arrival at the given address at Durban Deep in Roodeport, police were met with shots. The police retaliated and one suspect was shot. The wounded suspect is in hospital under police guard, while three others suspects were detained.
The suspects were wanted for rape, attempted murder and robberies.
The investigation is continuing and suspects will appear in court soon.
