Swift response by the Eersterust SAPS members led to the recovery of vehicle that was reported stolen earlier yesterday, 23 February 2017, at Garsfontein.
The police received a lookout for the said vehicle and immediately began searching for it. Several minutes after the look out was given they spotted the vehicle driving towards Mamelodi at high speed. They gave chase and the suspects abandoned the stolen vehicle and fled on foot.
All the suspects managed to escape after they climbed into a blue Audi A4 that was waiting nearby.
The investigation is continuing and the police are hoping to make an arrest soon.
