Sixty people were injured in Pretoria when two Putco busses collided on Tuesday.
The crash occurred on Moloto Road, close to the South African Police Service K9 Unit.
Sergeant Portia Maleka, Kameeldrift police spokesperson, said that one of the busses had stopped in the drop-off zone when the second bus crashed into it.
Maleka said that the bus driver misjudged his speed, resulting in the second bus hitting the first bus from behind.
The impact sent the bus off the road, which led to 60 people being injured.
Moloto Road is known for the high number of fatal deaths that has occurred on the road and has been given the name “road of death”.
